Ana Ravelo, MD (she/her)
Undergraduate: Boston University
Medical School: Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University
Ana was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to South FL with her mom at the age of 7. She lived in Miami before her family settled down in a house by a canal in Hollywood, FL! She moved to Boston for college and majored in Biology (and minored in Medical Anthropology) at BU. After graduating from BU in 2017 she moved back home to complete her gap year working as a pediatric medical assistant. In 2018, she made her way back up north to attend medical school in Philly. At Temple, Ana was very involved in community service, volunteering with organizations like Puentes de Salud and at Camp Boggy Creek. She was even president of her Pediatrics Interest Group. During her interview day with Brown, Ana felt at home. She was drawn to the friendly and cooperative culture of the program, as well as its strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community advocacy. Ana is 99.9% sure she wants to be a primary care pediatrician when she grows up. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with her dog Mushu, trying out new ice cream spots, coffee, long walks at antique stores/thrift stores, watching anime, baking, and naps.
