Anneliese Lapides, MD (she/her)

Position: PGY-1

Anneliese is from Niantic, CT and attended the University of Connecticut for undergrad where she majored in Biological Sciences and Human Development & Family Sciences. She went to medical school at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. She is passionate about health equity, advocacy, social determinants of health, and mentorship. During medical school, she was a student representative on the Medical Education Anti-racism Task Force and volunteered with the URiM Pathway to Pediatrics program. She co-founded and serves as the director of community engagement for the Southeastern Connecticut Organization for Racial Equity, a non-profit dedicated to anti-racism efforts in areas such as education, policy, and public health. She was drawn to Brown because of their commitment to advocacy, positive energy, and family-feel of the program. In her free time, Anneliese enjoys reading, going to the beach, paddleboarding, hiking, listening to vinyls, and watching reality TV.
