Cait Ward, MD (she/her)

Position: PGY-1

Cait grew up in Rochester, NY and attended Elmira College for undergrad, where she majored in psychology. After graduating from college, she worked at Planned Parenthood in Boston and volunteered in the pediatric emergency department at Boston Medical Center. These experiences made her realize she wanted to be a doctor, and also formed her passion for public health. Before going to medical school, she served in Americorps in rural upstate New York, worked as a care manager for low income folks with HIV/AIDS, and got her MPH. She is passionate about reproductive health, gender affirming care, and addressing healthcare disparities. She was blown away by the warmth and camaraderie of everyone at Brown on her interview day, and could not be happier about training here for residency. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, going for runs, and exploring beautiful New England – especially the wonderful state of Rhode Island!
