Chelsea Haynes, MD (she/her)
Undergraduate: Brown University
Medical School: Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University
Although born in Newport News, VA, Chelsea moved to Rhode Island at the age of 18 months and it is the only home she has truly known. As a two-time pediatric cancer survivor, Chelsea has always been drawn to the field of pediatrics and loves working with children. Chelsea attended Brown University for undergrad, majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Human Health and Disease. After undergrad, she worked locally as an emergency department medical scribe and medical assistant at Thundermist Health Center. Chelsea returned to Brown for medical school, where she cemented her love of the field of pediatrics. As a (nearly) lifelong Rhode Islander, Chelsea is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue her medical training at Brown. She loves the program because of its wonderful sense of community, focus on patient care, and of course, its Rhode Island location. Outside of medicine, Chelsea is a freshwater aquarium hobbyist, Disney fanatic, holiday decoration enthusiast, and self-proclaimed foodie. Most of all, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Lily Pawter.
