Originally from Dallas, Texas, Erin graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Biology. She moved to Lubbock, Texas, to pursue medical training focused on primary and rural healthcare. During medical school, Erin was the founder of the first Gay-Straight Alliance, which paved the way for students, staff, and faculty to educate and advocate for the local LGBTQ+ community. Erin served on the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) Gender & Sexuality Committee, drafting policy statements and formatting national LGBTQ+ curriculum. Erin is also a certified personal trainer and developed a nutrition and exercise elective for med students, which always ended in a 10-minute stress relief dance party. Outside of work, Erin loves to do anything outdoors (especially with her dog), explore new restaurants, and listen to music/dance!
