Evianna was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and was raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she moved with her family at the age of six. She completed her undergraduate degree at New York University, where she majored in sociology and Latin American studies. After college, she spent a few years working in New York as production editor of the policy magazine Americas Quarterly. She later moved to Charlottesville and completed an MD/MPH at the University of Virginia. She chose Brown Pediatrics for the exceptional training opportunities, diverse patient population, and supportive faculty and fellow residents. She has a strong interest in global health, patient advocacy, and health policy. Outside of work, she loves to travel, dance, read, and watch all sorts of crime dramas.
