Julia Donner, MD (she/her)
Undergraduate: Brown University
Medical School: The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Julia grew up between Gig Harbor, Washington and Munich, Germany and attended Brown University where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology. Unable to say goodbye to Brown, she decided to stay and attend the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. There, she devoted her time outside of class to peer mentorship, work at the free clinic, and community outreach, teaching health lessons in local schools. Julia took time off during her fourth year to explore her interests in global health and academic medicine. She worked at Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia learning how to practice medicine in a resource-limited setting and spent six months in Tübingen, Germany conducting research in Pediatric Endocrinology. Julia is thrilled to be continuing her training at Brown for the excellent education in a caring and collaborative atmosphere, dedicated mentorship, and a good balance between resident autonomy and faculty support. Within Pediatrics she is interested in subspecialty medicine. Outside of the hospital, Julia loves going for hikes and trail runs, skiing, biking, exploring beaches and restaurants, and spending time with her partner Brendan, a Brown EM resident.
