MaryAlice Brislin, MD (she/her)
Undergraduate: Northwestern University
Medical School: Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (GHHS)
MaryAlice is originally from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. She attended college at Northeastern University in Boston where she studied criminal justice and psychology. After completing internships at a law firm and at the Boston Police Department, she decided to make a career change. She completed a post-bac year at Temple University after graduation and then stayed in Philadelphia to attend medical school at Temple as well. During her time at Temple, MaryAlice volunteered at a pediatric camp for children with chronic diseases and realized right away that pediatrics was the specialty for her. She also served as a mentor for 1st and 2nd year students as part of Temple’s tutoring and mentorship program and participated in a research project on adverse childhood experiences. She is hoping to stay involved in research on ACEs and advocacy throughout residency. MaryAlice chose Brown because of the outstanding faculty she met on interview day, the smart but fun and down-to-earth residents, and the opportunity to train at a hospital like Hasbro. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, hiking, baking, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family. While she is excited to return to New England and explore Providence, she will remain a die-hard Philly sports fan.
