Vasupradha Suresh Kumar, MD (she/her)
Undergraduate: University of Arkansas
Medical School: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine
Vasu was born in India and spent much of her childhood in Taiwan. She moved to America when she was nine years old and has lived in her home state of Arkansas ever since. She is a southern girl but has always dreamed of living in the New England area. She is excited to shake things up with this big move across the country to Providence! In college, Vasu double majored in Biochemistry and Spanish. In medical school, she was a part of the Honors in Research and Honors in Global Health track. Vasu knew Brown was the perfect fit for her for many reasons. In addition to Brown’s impressive academics and training, Vasu fell in love with Brown’s ‘family’ feel, their commitment to diversity and global health, and their dedication to serving the underprivileged/minority populations. In her free time, Vasu loves travelling, learning new languages, watching Netflix, and hanging out with her friends and family. Vasu is probably one of the biggest pizza and dog lovers out there so if you see her, bring her a slice of pizza or a puppy!
