Vicenta Hudziak, MD (she/her)

Position: PGY-5

Undergraduate: Middlebury College
Medical School: The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont

Vic was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and grew up in Charlotte, Vermont. She went to Middlebury College where she majored in Neuroscience and minored in Chinese. Before medical school, Vic worked at the Vermont Center for Children, Youth, and Families on studies of childhood dysregulation and the genetics of self-harm and suicide, spent time in Singapore working on growth and behavioral studies in long-tailed macaques, and worked for two years as a research coordinator at the MGH Center for Addiction Medicine. These experiences fostered a desire to work with kids and families that was solidified in medical school, where Vic also discovered a passion for learning about medical education and physician wellbeing and served as a student member of the Learning Environment and Professionalism Committee. Vic is interested in integrated care, juvenile corrections, and mindfulness interventions in pediatrics and psychiatry. In the Brown Triple Board program, Vic found the perfect blend of rigorous clinical training, unique training sites, excited and accessible faculty, and a fantastic group of happy residents that made the ideal environment to pursue her interests. Outside of work, Vic is an avid podcaster and cross-stitcher who enjoys pick-up basketball, hiking, yoga, potlucks, and book clubs. She could not be more thrilled to live near the ocean and to spend the next five years becoming a Providence foodie.
