Professional support

The Pediatric Residency Program has many professional support resources including the following:

  • Paid AAP membership for all residents
  • Access to PREP board review questions and the NEJM Knowledge+ board review questions for all residents across all years
  • Pediatrics and Pediatrics in Review jounals delivered to resident mailboxes
  • Book money support that residents typically use to pay for USMLE step exam fees, preparation books, or pediatric textbooks
  • Access to Brown’s full library resources including free access to uptodate, lexicomp, and most journal articles (if not immediately accessible, may be requested free of charge)
  • Annual stipend to present academic work at regional and national conferences
  • Therapy support: All incoming interns are provided a therapist. The Residency pays for the 1st visit. After the first visit and if the resident continues, the resident’s insurance is then used.
